AGM, EFB or standard — and why start-stop cars need the right one.
Fitting the wrong battery type to a start-stop car can kill it within months.
- AGM: for cars with regenerative braking and start-stop
- EFB: for basic start-stop systems
- Standard flooded: for cars without start-stop
Many modern cars also need the new battery coding to the ECU — we do that free when we fit one.
